![]() Solo wizards will need particular spells since they need to be able to self heal, etc., but you have party members to cover those needs. Since you're limited to 2 spells per level anyways, knowing an excessive amount of spells doesn't really help. ![]() Respec when needed if there are overlaps or passive that work better for a new Grimoire. You're not restricted to choosing certain spells, so essentially, what most people do is choose all the passives they like/can, pick the few spells they "must have", and then just use the appropriate grimoires for casting. You're probably not going to find a ton of builds for a straight-forward wizard because of the way the Grimoire mechanics work. ![]() I'd appreciate any feedback before jumping in. If it's not really viable to solo class for a POTD run (again I don't mind taking on a party), what's best for a wizard multiclass, and with what general stat distribution? Or do you need to balance it out more, and take less strength and dex, or what's best? What's best here? Can you super nerf con and resolve, and just go something like 18 str for the dmg, and 18 dex for the accuracy, and then something like 14-15 int and perception. I'm thinking it's probably decent to go with a godlike nature race, and just a generalist wizard (or is there not a point in not choosing to be an evoker?), but I'm not really too sure on the whole stat division. I tried looking for some help, but it seems the only things I could find was from 2018 or there about, and is therefor probably very outdated due to balance patching, so I'd really appreciate some pointers. It doesn't need to be a solo build or anything, as I'm perfectly happy to use whatever mediocre characters the game throws at me alongside my main. I'm thinking I'll just go with a straight up wizard, no multi-classing if I can get away with it. I know I'm probably able to just wing it with a party in normal, and possibly in veteran as well, but I hate the idea of having to restart later on, due to some stupid choice made during the MC creation. So yeah I completed PoE back at launch, and don't remember anything, and while creating a character, I kept removing my choices, and starting over with the character creator.
